Before prescribing rehabilitative exercise, patients at Granite Chiropractic are put through a functional movement screen and muscle testing to determine where they may have specific weakness or limitations. Based on the results of these examinations, an exercise program is designed specific to the patient to reduce the likelihood of injury and improve performance.
Weaknesses and imbalances found during an exam may arise from trauma and injuries, as well as repetitive motions. Rehabilitative exercises to correct these issues may include PIR/PFS stretching, kettlebell exercises and resistance band training, which are performed in our office rehabilitation room. These exercises are always prescribed in conjunction with other therapies (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, etc.) to ensure that each patient receives customized treatment to help achieve their personal goals.
